• Laser Spider Vein Removal

  Our laser treatment quickly and safely eliminates spider veins, leaving your skin looking smooth and your legs beautiful again. HOW DOES OUR LASER SYSTEM WORK? The laser beam passes through the skin and penetrates the targeted vessels. The laser energy heats up and coagulates the blood inside the vessel. Unsupported, the vessel walls collapse and seal. These vessels will later dissolve within the body. The laser energy is delivered through a hand-held device with a cooling spray. The cooling spray provides additional safety and comfort during the treatment by lowering the thermal effect on the surface of your skin. What can I expect during treatment? You will experience a stinging sensation during the treatment, which resolves immediately after the treatment is over. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT? You and the technician will wear protective eyewear during the short laser treatment. Your technician will use a small hand piece to deliver laser pulses to your skin. At A&E and SNY Center we strive to provide our clients with all the information available for their particular case of hair loss. WHAT IS A FOLLICULAR UNIT? A follicular unit is a natural grouping of hairs that grow together in the scalp and share the same blood supply. Each follicular unit has from one to four separate individual hairs growing from it. Follicular unit hair transplants yield the most natural look and highest density, as it involves the extraction of units from the “donor site” at the back of the head, where hair is genetically programmed to grow for life, and then implanting it in the areas suffering from hair loss. There are multiple hair transplant methods doctors can perform. The “strip” method or FUT (follicular unit transplantation) is the most commonly performed method. In an FUT procedure, a strip of scalp containing your hair follicle and the root is extracted from the donor site and cut into 1-4 hair follicular units, which are then transplanted individually to the balding areas. You will not experience any hair loss at the donor site. WHAT IS FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION (FUE)? During an FUE (follicular unit extraction) procedure a small tool will be used to remove 1-4 hair follicular units individually, without surgically removing a strip of scalp, which are then transplanted to individually to the balding areas.   HOW DOES DYSPORT WORK? Dysport blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines. You should not be treated with Dysport more frequently than every 90 days. Treatment with prescription Dysport can temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines. Treatment generally takes just 10 to 20 minutes. The most common side effects of Dysport treatment are nose and throat irritation, headache, injection site pain, injection site skin reaction, upper respiratory tract infection, eyelid swelling, eyelid drooping, sinus inflammation, and nausea. You should wait at least 90 days between Dysport treatments. WHAT CAUSES FROWN LINES? Over time, repeated movement of the facial skin by the forehead muscles forms lines between the eyebrows. Frown lines are “dynamic”—they happen because of the way a person’s face moves. ARE THEY ALWAYS RELATED TO AGE? No. Because frown lines are created by facial movements, such as frowning or squinting, they may develop even in younger adults.   SUBMENTAL FULLNESS Patients asking about their submental fullness may, at times, refer to it as their “double chin.” It is a common, yet undertreated facial aesthetic condition that can: Detract from an otherwise balanced and harmonious facial appearance Lead to an older and heavier look Impact a broad range of adults, including both women and men Be caused by aging, genetics and/or weight gain According to a 2015 survey by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), 67% of consumers are bothered by submental fullness—nearly as many as those bothered by lines and wrinkles around the eyes (69%). ABOUT KYBELLA® KYBELLA® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable drug that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness. The number of injections and the number of treatments should be tailored to the individual patient’s submental fat distribution and treatment goals. Once the aesthetic response is achieved with KYBELLA®, retreatment is not expected. KYBELLA® is administered by subcutaneous injections into submental fat. KYBELLA® is indicated for improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat in adults. The safe and effective use of KYBELLA® has not been established outside the submental area and is not recommended. Not all patients are candidates for KYBELLA®. Give careful consideration in patients with prominent platysmal bands or excessive skin laxity, who may not achieve aesthetically desirable results. Avoid use of KYBELLA® in patients who have current or prior history of dysphagia or causes of submental fullness other than submental fat. Caution should be used in patients who have had prior surgical or aesthetic treatment of the submental area. KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) injection is indicated for improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat in adults. The safe and effective use of KYBELLA® for the treatment of subcutaneous fat outside the submental region has not been established and is not recommended. Important Safety Information KYBELLA® is contraindicated in the presence of infection at the injection sites. Cases of marginal mandibular nerve injury, manifested as an asymmetric smile or facial muscle weakness, were reported in 4% of subjects in the clinical trials; all cases resolved spontaneously (range 1-298 days, median 44 days). KYBELLA® should not be injected into or in close proximity to the marginal mandibular branch of the facial nerve. Dysphagia occurred in 2% of subjects in the clinical trials in the setting of administration site reactions, e.g., pain, swelling, and induration of the submental area; all cases of dysphagia resolved spontaneously (range 1-81 days, median 3 days). Avoid use of KYBELLA® in patients with current or prior history of dysphagia as treatment may exacerbate the condition. In clinical trials, 72% of subjects treated with KYBELLA® experienced hematoma/bruising. KYBELLA® should be used with caution in patients with bleeding abnormalities or who are currently being treated with antiplatelet or anticoagulant therapy as excessive bleeding or bruising in the treatment area may occur. To avoid the potential of tissue damage, KYBELLA® should not be injected into or in close proximity (1-1.5 cm) to salivary glands, lymph nodes and muscles. The most commonly reported adverse reactions in the pivotal clinical trials were: injection site edema/swelling, hematoma/bruising, pain, numbness, erythema,and induration.
